Saint Wenceslaus’ Day

25-26. September 2010, Tállya, Tokaj-Hegyalja

Saint Wenceslaus is a patron saint of wine-makers, and it is here, in Tállya a unique

tradition all around in Europe.

Programmes on the 25th September, on Saturday:

18.30 – concert with St. Martin, the

roman catholic church is fully decorated with grapes and flowers

20.00 – festive wine-dinner with wines of the Szirmay-mansion and with St. Martin in the Oroszlános Wine-restaurant.

Tickets: 8.000 HUF

Tickets only for wine – dinner: 6.500 HUF

Concert tickets: 1.500 HUF

Programmes on the 26th September, on Sunday

11.00 – high mass in the Roman Catholic Church with the procession of wine-orders

and with wine-consecration. Saying mass Csaba Ternyák Dr., Arcbishop of Eger,

contributing the Saint Francis choir of the Minorita Church.

13.00 – festive lunch for the pilgrims in the Oroszlános Wine-restaurant with crafts

crowd on.
